Product Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Lead the development of system software and hardware that improves clinical workflows and offers new services to labs and clinicians, supporting appropriate diagnostic processes

Develop product vision and synchronize with leadership and assay marketing teams to ensure consistency and coherence

Drive the product strategy for assigned system software and hardware products

Lead VOC with Cepheid’s customers to observe, learn about and analyze customer needs

Understanding customer requirements and driving requirements management in close alignment with customers, technical and business needs, lead team through process of defining product requirements

Scope the MVP taking into account existing resource constraints and sustained development of the products and set correct launch expectations with business stakeholders

Close collaboration with Project Manager and other business teams in order to define requirements.

Use and continuously improve Design Thinking and Agile methodologies such as Lean Software Development to enable adoption of best practices within Cepheid

Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Education and Experience (in years) :

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR

Master’s degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience

Knowledge and skills :

Experience in Product Management and Product delivery preferably of software products in the medical or diagnostic industries

Prior product launch experience is essential; prior product development experience would be important

Demonstrated experience of translating customer needs into stories that can be used for development purposes

Demonstrates knowledge of molecular IVD products and markets

Communicates effectively and strong team player / collaborator with various internal constituent, customers and other stakeholders

Excellent presentation skills; ability to multi-task across broad number of products and disease states

Experience working directly with thought leaders and KOLs in relevant areas is required
