Job overview:

Under the direction and supervision of the Branch Manager, the Head Teller is responsible for helping the branch achieve its sales, service and operational goals by ensuring the Teller Line is functioning as required by Bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Provides a variety of customer service and assistance functions effectively and efficiently.

Processes transactions promptly and timely.

Maintains and balances own cash drawer daily.

Opens and closes main vault daily, controls cash in vault and distributes daily cash to Tellers according to policy and procedure.

Supervises all aspects of the Teller Line, maintains cash supply for the branch and ATM, ensures Teller accuracy , assist Tellers with more complex customer transactions.

Ensures the integrity of Teller Line security and adherence to cash drawer limits.

Ensures that the branch has an adequate cash supply, orders and ships currency, prepares currency shipments and verifies money shipped to the branch.

Participates and supports the internal branch sales initiatives and goals.

Monitors and/or ensures compliance with federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering, as well as Bank operation policies and procedures.

Performs additional duties as requested.

Qualifications:

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of previous Teller experience or previous Head Teller experience or its equivalency. Skills should include: a good aptitude for figures, attention to detail, strong problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. PC skills including Word are necessary.

This position requires travel to other branches on a temporary or permanent basis. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
