Field Service Technician

DescriptionOne of our clients is looking for a Field Service Technician on a contract-to-hire opportunity with a conversion rate of $23/hour. This will be a hands-on type of support role on location at client sites. Mileage expenses would be reimbursed at $0.43/mile.Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm Traveling to and from customer locations providing hardware break/fix and software support on desktops/laptops/printers Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs desktops, laptop, servers, and printers Reviewing and updating service tickets Contacting and scheduling service with customers Candidate must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLA’s) Works under general supervisionRequirements 1 year plus supporting Desktops, Laptops, and Printers. Specifically, break/fix experience with desktops, laptops, and printers. Reliable Transportation (This is a driving position – reimbursed accordingly) Able to work weekends, staggered or late shifts possibly including evenings and/or weekends Personable as they will be interacting with a wide range of users and environments Can work on a ladder or lift and are able to lift up to 50lbs.Top 3 Desirables Mechanical aptitude for hardware repairs including large printer client base Self-starter, able to schedule an effective daily route Sense of urgency to handle shifting prioritiesBasic Needs/Haves Able to work from a bent, crouched, or kneeled position Possess a valid driver’s licensePreferred, NOT REQUIRED: CompTIA A+ Certification Lexmark certifications OEM Printer Warranty Certifications OEM Laptop/Desktop Warranty Certifications If not certified, be capable of becoming A+ certified and receive training for OEM product linesRobert Half Technology matches IT professionals with some of the best companies on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
