Let's talk about the team and you :

As the Director, Strategy & Business Development you will help drive strategy and business development activities across the sleep and respiratory care business.

Working closely with the VP, Strategy and Business Development you will support strategy and business development activities across the business including identifying, screening and managing BD and Partnership targets, performing due diligence assessments, enterprise economics, strategic projects and new business creation activities.

The role will cover a global remit with a particular focus on the Americas. The role requires a high level of collaboration across multiple ResMed businesses and support functions.

It will require excellent strategic and analytical skills and require a passion for sleep and respiratory care and healthcare more generally as well as independence, flexibility and a natural curiosity.

Support overall strategic development

Identification and definition of strategy

Execution and governance

Lead key strategic projects

Lead Business Development, Partnership and M&A activities in the Americas : Market Assessments and analysisIdentification and screening of targetsInitial discussions with potential partners and targetsPerforming Due Diligence and Negotiating with TargetsValuation modeling (DCF, LBO)Driving partnershipsManaging BD relationships

Enterprise economics for Sleep & Respiratory Care Business

Financial analysis and modeling for sleep and respiratory care sub business

Business case development

Identify efficiency and profit improvement opportunities

Systematic competitive intelligence and monitoring

Support new business creation activities E.g. incubation of new businesses

Work with local markets and / or Market Insights team to drive market research activities

Attend and report back from industry conferences and events

Ensure the implementation of management system within area of responsibility (including health & safety, quality & environmental).

Position Specific Skills and Challenges :

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience :

Required :

Four-year Degree and a minimum of eight years related experience, will accept experience in lieu of degree.

Excellent data analytics and financial modeling experience- business cases and financial models (DCF, LBO, etc.)

Deep understanding of healthcare enterprise economics / incentives and value drivers

FP&A background (or acquired skillset) combined with a natural curiosity to identify opportunities for growth acceleration and profit improvement

Inventive, creative and solution oriented in ambiguous situations

Curiosity to drive the next levels of business questions and insights, not afraid to ask questions, big picture thinker

Strong self-starter who is able to work independently

Preferred

MBA or other advanced degree

Investment banking or management consulting background

Commercial deal development and execution experience in healthcare and / or consumer wellness

Expertise in healthcare services, medical devices, or digital health / wearables is ideal
