Job Description

Technical / Functional Skills

Minimum 10 years of experience in data warehousing projects

Minimum 3 years of experience in Snowflake with data architecture, design, analytics and deployment

Deep experience in traditional Data Warehousing & Cloud data warehousing and must have handled performance tuning of snowflake

Mastery of SQL, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, Google BigQuery and database engineering and design (Relational, De-normalized, Data Lakes, etc.)

Expertise with python

Experience on Azure is a must

Understanding of the competitive ETL space in cloud data warehousing

Working knowledge of software engineering best practices

Experience with GIT

Strong communicator

Knowledge of DBMS optimizer and performance tuning techniques

Experience with CI / CD pipeline and SDLC in an Agile environment

Roles & Responsibilities

Be a technical expert on all aspects of Snowflake

Deploy Snowflake following best practices, including ensuring knowledge transfer so that customers are properly enabled and are able to extend the capabilities of Snowflake on their own

Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate and communicate implementation best practices on Snowflake technology

Maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position Snowflake in relation to them

Work with System Integrator consultants at a deep technical level to successfully position and deploy Snowflake in customer environments

Provide guidance on how to resolve customer-specific technical challenges

Support other members of the Professional Services team develop their expertise

Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing.
