Facilities Manager (Garberville)

Locally owned, diversified property management company is seeking an experienced facilities manager to ensure the smooth operation of all managed facilities. The company’s assets include agricultural, residential, and commercial properties.

This role is based in Garberville with daily travel to properties and worksites as needed.

The Facility Manager will be responsible for several properties simultaneously and is responsible for ensuring proper functioning and maintenance of all physical infrastructure of the business.

These duties include but are not limited to inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.

The Facilities Manager will also oversee the company’s facility operations, manage staff, manage facility moves and manage janitorial duties, all while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Specific examples of job duties include but are not limited to:

Inspect buildings and agricultural equipment, to ensure routine maintenance is carried out and repairs made when necessary including: facility structures, roads, property ground and equipment and or tools

Identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks, complete in house or contract out, if needed

Implement systems, policies, and standard operating procedures to efficiently manage labor and equipment on all properties.

Ensure an adequate inventory of necessary supplies i.e. personal protective equipment, fuel, and maintenance supplies.

Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies

Ensure compliance with all fertilizer, fuel, and chemical storage regulations and procedures

Coordinate with executive team to ensure successful advancement of new building projects

Ensure compliance with all OSHA, safety and security protocols

Coordinate with Human Resources department to ensure a secure on-boarding and off boarding process
