The Position

The School Services Supervisor (II) is responsible for overseeing the operations of the School-Based Counseling Program in South Santa Barbara County and providing overall support for the School Services Supervisor (III). The duties include responsibility for staff, program and budget development, administration, implementation, and evaluation.

Working with those impacted by trauma can be fulfilling and meaningful, yet simultaneously challenging, requiring attention to one’s self-self-care. FSA strives to be a trauma-informed and resilience-oriented organization, actively identifying and employing methods to support staff to embody a healthy and sustainable balance of care for others and themselves.

Sample of Duties and Responsibilities

Provides administrative supervision, and ongoing training to School-Based Counselors.

Organizes and facilitates monthly staff meeting/training.

Participates in weekly individual meetings with the School Services Supervisor (III) and/or School Services Program Manager.

Monitors program budgets and productivity.

Evaluates the effectiveness of the School-Based Counseling Program and the impact on both the schools and the community. Identifies unmet needs to the School Services Supervisor; develops and implements as deemed appropriate.

Represents and advocates for School-Based Counseling Services with collaborative agencies, school district staff, school administration, other service providers and potential funding sources.

Classification, Hours and Pay Rate:

This position is available as a part-time or full-time position, 20-40 hours per week. Please indicate how many hours you desire in your application.

Limited benefits, sick, and vacation time available for part-time positions. For 30+ hours/week, benefits include: medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, as well as generous sick and vacation time.

Requirements

Employment Standards:

Must be an MFT, LCSW or Psychologist.

Experience required with program management, staff supervision, as well as knowledge of current clinical practices regarding services to youth and families.

It is preferred that the candidate will be able to provide clinical supervision, but will consider candidates who do not yet have two years as a licensed clinician
