Pharmacist Clinical (Pharmacy Cost of Care): PS39257The Pharmacist Clinical is responsible for conducting cost of care analyses in support of all lines of business. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Provide clinical and analytical support to assist in the development and measurement of clinical strategies for Pharmacy programs; makes necessary recommendations as needed.

Projects savings potential (ROI), and analyzes, tracks, reports out, and presents initiative savings

Develops forecasts for Cost of Care Savings

Provides clinical and analytic consultation to team members and other business areas, leadership or external customers.

Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.

May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.

Supports multiple internal levels of management in the analysis and evaluation of initiatives, projects, and issues.

Prepare and present oral presentations and written reports that produce and clearly and concisely summarize analytic findings and outcomes of pharmacy programs.

Collaborate with business analysts to develop and enhance reporting using Microsoft Excel, Access, SAS, and/or other mediums.

Qualifications

Requires a registered pharmacist, prefer PharmD and Master’s degree in data analytics or pharmaceutical health outcomes related discipline is preferred.

3-5 years of managed care or Pharmacy Benefit Management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Current valid state license to practice pharmacy as an RPh required

Requires strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills.

Requires experience manipulating and processing datasets with proficiency in SQL and/or SAS, Access, and Excel.
