Accounts Receivable Clerk

DescriptionAccountemps is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) detail oriented with experience and a knack for problem-solving to join an innovative, rapidly-growing firm. You will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. You will be processing full-cycle AP, handling a high volume of invoices per week, with high attention to detail. This is a short-term temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Santa Rosa, California area.How you will make an impact

Verify codes and documents

Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers

Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders

Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks

Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

Requirements

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

Microsoft Great Plains Accounting experience

Knowledgeable of ERP systems

Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
