Medical Biller / Collector

DescriptionAccountemps is seeking a driven Medical Collector for a large hospital in the Inland Empire. The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in their work and is willing to work in a temporary role on a project basis with possibility of being hired on.

Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and arrange for payment

Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

Payment posting

Oversee and update customer files to ensure data consistency

Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries

Head all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines

Ensure payments are processed

Catalog all customer payments to the correct reports

Excellent oral and written communications skills

3+ years of prior high-volume medical billing collections experience in an outpatient setting

Dedication to customer service

Prior experience working with CMS1500 and UB04 forms as well as various types of insurances such as Medicare, HMO, & PPO

Ability to analyze customer accounts and make decisions based on those analyses
