Inorganic Chemist, Oceanside, CAJob Description:Requirements:

PhD in material science, physics, inorganic chemistry, or closely related filed with 2-3 years of postdoctoral research and/or industrial R D experience.

Postdoctoral experience requirement may be waived for exceptional fresh graduates.

MS with 5 years or more of experience is acceptable.

Skills:

Solid background in composite materials e.g., ceramic/metal nanopowder in matrix polymer, organic nano fiber in polymers and their preparation process, synthesis of inorganic materials including nanomaterials powder, fiber, etc. , and material evaluations and characterization SEM/EDX, ERD, FTIR, UV-vis, AFM etc .

Solid understanding of interaction between ceramic/metal and polymers in composite materials.

Solid understanding of synthesis/preparation of ceramic/metal nanopowders is highly desirable

Background of thermal conductive materials is highly desirable

Understanding of coating, casting process is preferable

Understanding of coordination chemistry is preferable

Any other background addition to above is always plus Innovative and creative as evidenced by publications and/or patents

Duties and responsibilities:

Design, develop and execute experimental plan independently Interact closely with team members to develop comprehensive solutions.

Summarizing, reporting and presentation in timely manner

Others:

Contribution to existing research programs

Strong desire to develop independent research programs is expected.
