Providesdirect patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance withapplicable scope and standards of practice.

Performsplan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimencollection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Documentspatient care given.

Monitors,records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team,physician, patient, and family.

Assistspatients with performing activities of daily living, including personalhygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaboratesas needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patienttransfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.

Evaluateslearning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Worksas an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Performother duties as assigned.

Maybe required to perform duties of the CNA, MA or LPN or other nursing staff onoccasion.

Attendsand participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees asassigned.

Adheresto and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.

Worksscheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.

Acceptsall call schedule as directed.

Maintainsa neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.

Minimum Education

Associate'sdegree is required.

Required Skills

Requirescritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work withminimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and takeappropriate action.

Certifications

BLS,ACLS, NRP, STABLE, Fetal Monitoring (if they are L&D competent)

Licenses

Currentand active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee.
