Job Summary

The successful product manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the WOLF® Cell Sorter product line, including accessories and consumables.

Overall responsibilities will be driving market adoption and penetration of the instrument in new market areas while delivering consistent growth of market share and company revenues.

Reporting to the director of marketing, the WOLF product manager will be an integral part of the marketing team and is expected to collaborate with all stakeholders in the company in regards to upstream and downstream marketing, R&D, sales, support, and service.

Responsibilities and Duties

End-to-end product life cycle managementLead the commercial strategy for new and improved WOLF products from market research to product concept.

Develop an integrated product development strategy and product roadmap.Oversee go-to-market strategy from product introduction to end-of-life.

Market researchProvide market research and conduct voice of customer interviews.Develops key opinion leader programs to achieve a better understanding of market needs and establish product champions.

Provide information on market segmentation, market share, and customer requirements.Develop customer persona, competitive analysis, and product positioning.

Product developmentWorks directly with R&D to prepare and submit new product proposals and develop customer requirement documents.

Serves as primary customer advocate during product development and drive tradeoff decisions.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition between product development and commercialization.

Go-to-market strategyDesign an effective market forecast model and product mix.Coordinate launch activities for multiple products in the portfolio.

Responsible for the development of promotional materials and programs including product implementation into ERP system, sales collateral, website content, webinar tutorials, and product literature.

Ensure adequate scientific content to support all market segments.Coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders to execute best-in-class customer journey and customer excellence.

Product trainingProvides appropriate training and directions to the sales team including sales tactics, product features and benefits, competition landscape analysis, and product positioning.

Support commercial activities of international distributors.

Production supportInterface with manufacturing operations, quality on product issues to ensure products meet customer expectations.

Assist the supply chain with planning, sales forecast, and product mix.

Qualifications and Skills

BS or BA in marketing, and / or life sciences-related field. Advanced degree in life sciences preferred.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in product management, marketing, sales, or other customer-facing roles in a life sciences organization, preferably with a focus on capital equipment.

Strong technical knowledge of cell analysis, experience with flow cytometry is preferred.

Demonstrated experience in launching and sustaining products in the cell analysis field.

Must have experience in customer interactions in either a sales, business development or marketing function.

Experience working in cross-functional teams covering various internal teams.

Must have proficient written, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.

Ability to influence across the organization at all levels.

A motivated self-starter must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to travel 25% of the time.
