Overview

This is an -on-site position. Due to the nature of the work it cannot be done remotely. ITP has taken measures recommended by the Los Angeles County Dept. of Health to ensure the safety of our employees during the current Covid-19 crisis.

This position manages the portfolio of

information technology

equipment inventory for all clients, as well as internal users. They will place orders, receive various computer components, and facilitate the property subscription transactions. Highly involved in the hands-on preparation of equipment being sent, (hardware and software) as well as the proper preparation of used equipment returned as to re-conditioning, memory wipes, etc. Provides pricing for new catalog items, creates forecasts and maintains detailed records to facilitate ad hoc reports. Must be extremely organized with excellent planning skills, preparing property subscription activities several months in advance. They will also price and sell or arrange donations for surplus/refurbished equipment as required.

Essential Functions - Inventory Control, Catalog Maintenance, Contract Compliance

Inventory Control – Will assign and affix tracking number/bar codes and maintain a location database for all equipment and its value (new or depreciated). Will maintain a warehouse organization system ensuring that all inventory is properly stored and easily located.

Shipping/Receiving- Will arrange shipping of all equipment as required to employees, customers or donation sites. Will receive all new equipment from manufacturers or distributors, assign appropriate inventory tracking and update database. Will receive any returned equipment from clients and update inventory database and re-stock until a disposition has been approved.

Equipment Sales – Will price, advertise and sell or donate used equipment as approved by the Services Administration Management team and/or Accounting Dept.

Property Catalog Management– Will develop and maintain a moderate level of technical knowledge regarding all items in the property catalog. Must maintain a level of expertise to research and provide recommendations regarding pricing and trends.

Property Subscriptions– Maintain forecast of client catalog subscriptions in rolling 12-month window; planning for purchases, deployments and decommissioning property. Must understand the terms of client contracts and keep track of start/end dates in preparation for upcoming orders or end-lease returns.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or 3 years of relevant experience such as Inventory Control Clerk, Planner/Scheduler coupled with

knowledge of IT hardware, softwareand industry trends.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Computer Technology equipment
  • Knowledge of proper storage and shipping requirements.
  • Finance Knowledge re: pricing, sales tax, shipping charges
  • Experience with shipping sensitive equipment safely and timely.
  • Professional Communication Skills
  • Excellent Customer Service abilities
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient Multi-tasker
  • Intermediate to expert level experience in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Outlook email/calendar, Inventory tracking software, bar code assignment/database tracking, and exposure to project management software preferred.

· Familiarity with selling from an EBay store

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee occasionally is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must have visual capacity to read documents and computer screens. May occasionally be required to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

Office/warehouse environment. Temperature controlled. Noise level light to moderate.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $55,000 - $60,000 DOE
