Project Manager: Laboratory Design

Job Description

• High-level design of a campus space for multiple types of laboratory operations (discovery, testing, and GMP manufacturing).
• Maintaining a project plan and keeping the project on schedule and within budget
• Hiring a realtor, evaluating sites that meet the needs of the laboratory operations.
• Acquiring space for a new laboratory building (existing or from the ground up).
• Hiring architects, builders, and engineers.
• Ensuring appropriate permits are obtained
• Working closely with current laboratory operations and the hired architects, builders, and engineers to ensure the most efficient, state of the art, laboratory-based campus is planned and built.
• Hire a moving firm
• Oversee the move of the laboratories to the new site with minimal disruptions to the current operations
• Transition into laboratory operations once the move is complete
• Contribute to projects that may include analytical testing, microbiology testing, project management, and LEAN evaluations

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience
• Degree in one of the life or physical sciences is preferred
