Digital TechnicianThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our client, a multinational IT company specialized in consumer products (hardware & software) and services.Location: Cupertino, CADuration: 12-month contract with possibility of renewal.Candidate must be eligible for direct W2 contract without sponsorship.Job DescriptionsThe Digital Technician will be part of the Channel Strategic Operations team working on innovative and forward-thinking ways to ensure software and hardware compatibility on retail display fixtures and to ensure flawless execution of new content updates for new product initiatives.You are a Digital Technician who is a skilled individual in electronic and software content development and delivery systems including but not limited to Android application/content with Video content playback with solid technical and engineering skills, experienced in Android, PC, and Linux based software testing, implementation and change management. This position requires high level of interaction with vendors.You will collaborate with both internal and external partners worldwide to identify, validate, and manage the implementation of the operational aspects of software and content delivery solutions. You will also:

Serve as technical liaison between different locations to align technical roadmap and to ensure proper execution from fixture manufacturer.

Inform and help lead digital/ software/ content delivery capabilities of future fixture development

Work directly with worldwide Installation Manager to identify digital content validation testing process for trouble free execution of digital content update and maintain backward compatibility

Develop and maintaining professional working relationship, high level of interaction with vendors.

Build & maintain software version storage and filing system

Develop detailed test case sets for multiple program initiatives

Conduct testing, capture results and provide detailed reports of proposed software solutions from multiple vendors

Learn, develop, and modify scripts for data collection and analysis

Create and manage branded software/hardware validation process

Conduct new system testing, QA and post launch field support with successful regression testing to assure backward compatibility across older released versions

Identify, capture and analyze metrics of pilots

Audit vendor internal software testing standards

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Science Degree in Computer Science or related technical disciplines.

Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in software product development.

Demonstrated programming skill in C Working experience in iOS and Android platforms with knowledge of ethernet and WiFi networks

Experience working with Linux and Windows based software

Experience writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans and test design documents.

Experience in debugging and troubleshooting problems in Linux/Unix based application servers

Ability to constructively communicate with both technical and non-technical business partners including various internal customers with different priorities and deliverables

Excellent communication, testing, quality assurance and reporting skills

Strong problem solving, analytical abilities, curiosity, project management and thoroughness

Self-starter with integrity and attention to details

Ability to manage and organize multiple projects with competing priorities and different timescales

Comfortable with time to market pressure with ability to communicate solution options and trade offs to meet schedule.

Proficiency in Mac OS, Word, Excel and Keynote

Possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail

Experience holding suppliers accountable to deliverables and comfortable escalating issues when appropriate
