This positionoffers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization on anational level based in our Irvine, CA headquarters.

The Credit Officerwill be responsible for financial analysis and risk assessment of currentand potential borrowers, preparing credit proposals, formulating andrecommending lending approval / denial decisions on business purpose loanrequests.

The Credit Officer will collaborate with originators, relationshipmanagers, and processors and will underwrite and coordinate the closing ofleases in compliance with the Bank's lending policies.

Responsibilities mayinclude :

Analyzing a company’sfinancial, operational, and management strengths and weaknesses to minimizecapital, balance sheet, and reputation risk

Preparing companyannual financial reviews and underwriting memos focusing on a company’sleverage, key risk factors, sources of repayment, cash flow, and ability toservice debt

Preparation ofFinancial Spreads and covenant tracking as well as ACH portfolio oversight

Two years of related experienceand / or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Work related experience should consist of an in-depth background inunderwriting loans.

Educational experience, through in-house training sessions,formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be applicable tothe financial industry.

The ability to comprehend andexplain financial calculations and pricing alternatives

Intermediate experience, knowledgeand training in underwriting activities and terminology.

Advanced knowledge of laws andregulations governing lending including but not limited to fair lending,privacy and RESPA.

Ability to read, analyze andinterpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technicalprocedures.

Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.

Advanced skills in computer terminaland personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing,spreadsheet and specialty software programs.

Intermediate typing skills to meetproduction needs of the position.

Intermediate math skills; ability tocalculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balanceaccounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, usingwhole numbers, common fractions and decimals;

locate routine mathematicalerrors; compute rate, ratio and percent.
