The Senior GL Accountant will be responsible for fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and the preparation of monthly and year-end closings.

You will provide accounting expertise in accordance with GAAP and you will be in charge of communicating with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, playing an active role in compliance, and looking over schedules for the reporting processes.

The Senior GL Accountant will also be responsible for the documenting and ongoing updating of reconciliation processes in coordination with the Accounting Manager and Chief Accounting Officer.

What You’ll Do

Assist with accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close process- general journal entries, accruals, account analysis and reconciliation of accounts including, fixed assets, cash, notes payable, interest calculations.

Perform intercompany invoices on monthly basis across multiple entities.

Monitor intercompany transactions throughout the month.

Reconcile high volume of intercompany receivable and payable accounts.

Maintain and reconcile all equity account schedules.

Support GL Accounting Manager by monitoring and preparing month end financial statements, including balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, and equity.

Develop, improve, and streamline reconciliation process for our consolidated entities and projects.

Prepare company to meet public company reporting requirements and audits.

Work with the Accounting Manager, GL to ensure an accurate and timely year end audit.

Prepare, maintain and apply knowledge of US GAAP and possibly SEC reporting requirements for consolidated financial statements.

Support GL Accounting Manager with special projects and process improvements.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You Have

BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

3+ years’ GL experience required.

5+ years’ experience in accounting or related field.

Advanced computers skills on G-Suite, MS Office, ERP and database.

Ability to manipulate large amounts of data in a complicated entity structure.

Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.

Success in a fast-paced, startup environment with proven track record of cross functional relationships across the organization.

Multi-entity, CPG, and Supply Chain experience in a high growth company.

Strong cost accounting experience a plus.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets.

Job Requirements

Work revolves around objectives, projects and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.

Must be able to use computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
