Job Description

Broadridge is growing! We are currently seeking a

Repair Depot Electrician to join our Production Technical Support Repair Depot Team. In this role you will troubleshoot, diagnose and perform component level repairs on a wide range of electrical devices used in the high-speed print and mail industry. Work with other technicians and engineering team members to provide depot level support for failed components that can be repaired and returned to service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
  2. Performs troubleshooting of electronic failures to the component level
  3. Supports a spare parts inventory by providing management with a complete list of parts to be ordered including the vendor to be used and the associated cost for each part for each equipment type supported
  4. Follows all departmental procedures as directed including all departmental guidelines, keep accurate records of all work performed
  5. Perform programming and testing for various circuits and devices after repair
  6. Assists in the responsibility for research and implementation of new repair procedures, processes and parts to sustain the repairability of parts for all machine types used
  7. Demonstrate the ability to resolve repairs and know when to advance the issue to enlist the expertise of peers, vendors, contractors, or management to aid in problem resolution process
  8. May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned

Skills/Competencies:

  • Functional/technical skills
  • Detailed electronic soldering ability (Micro Soldering a plus)
  • Mechanical aptitude and use of basic hand tools
  • Ability to compare technical specifications and datasheets of components to determine suitable or better than OEM replacement components.
  • Attention to detail and the ability prioritize and change priorities as business needs change
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and to work under pressure due to time constraints as necessary

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Degree or Certification in Electronics from a certified institution or military equivalent training
  • A+ Certificate and/or a working knowledge of computer hardware and network devices
  • 5 -7 years’ experience with depot level component repair of electrical and electronic devices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience/understanding in spare parts/repair parts control, parts ordering, budget and documentation
  • Solid understanding of AC & DC motors, drivers (amplifiers), encoder technology
  • Electrical Safety and ARC Flash Prevention Training
