Job TitleRelief Interventional Rad Tech II - DaysLocationPalo AltoJob #57927Department NameIR VASCULAR SERVICESJob TypeReliefScheduleM-FBargaining UnitNONEJob Description:P Proficient to work independently in Interventional Radiology.P Demonstrates dedication to the department by willingly training less experienced technologists and travelers to provide scrub assistance during procedures.P Sets exposure parameters on fixed and mobile angiography equipment practicing ALARA by setting correct imaging protocols and applying dose reduction techniques.P Correctly prepare for procedures by entering patient demographic data in imaging equipment, correct inventory setup, and having supplemental inventory available.P Correctly prepare for procedures by entering patient demographic data in imaging equipment, correct inventory setup, and having supplemental inventory available.P Correctly post process images (re-masking, pixel shifting, 3-D reconstructions, etc.) and ensure they are sent to PACS in a timely fashion.P Expert understanding of imaging techniques and protocol. Ability to prepare and trouble shoot ancillary equipment. (IVUS, US, EKOS, JETI, ANGIO JET, etc.)P Operates at a super user level (Measuring diameter, cross sectional area, etc.), trouble shoots and expert ability to complete quality post processing of images and information on all ancillary equipment. Bachelor's degree preferred.Experience: 24 months of interventional radiology progressively responsible and directly related work experience.License/Certification:BLS - Basic Life SupportACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within six (6) months of hire.RTF - California State Fluoroscopic Permit, new hires without certification are required to obtain certification with in three (3) months of hiring date, written exceptions will be considered in 30 days increment at the discretion of the director.CRT -Certified by the State of California Department of Health Services in Diagnostic Radiology.ARRT RTR - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification Reg. Tech-Radiography.
