Principal Scientist, Computational Chemist

Kelly is working with a specialized CRO who is looking for a dynamic Principal Scientist in Computational Chemistry. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is looking to grow within an organization.Title: Principal Scientist, Computational ChemistryType: Direct Hire; remote for now, but eventually will need someone to be on-site in South San Francisco.What will you do?Be a partner on Drug Discovery projects with small and large biotech, pharma, and with academic researchers.

work on multiple projects for various pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organizations on small molecule drug discovery programs.

creating business strategy for these clients and to gain new clients

providing consulting to support computational chemistry projects or as a team member part of a larger group

working cross-functional with multiple vendors at times

leadership responsibilities

Requirements:

Degree: PhD or Advanced Degree is preferred

At least 6 years of experience within a pharmaceutical or biotech company in Computational Chemistry

Hands on experience with docking, homology modeling, pharmacophore modeling, QSAR, combinatorial library design

Experience with Maestro, MOE, Gold, JChem, Vortex, Spotfire, Knime, ad Bioluminate

Experience with AI, Machine learning, xray crystallography, etc.

Experience with computational antibody drug discovery is a plus.
