Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to join their team! We are seeking someone with a positive attitude, is highly reliable, and strong leader.

Position Overview:

Qualifications:

- Leadership:

- Direct the day-to-day operation of the shop

- Manage a staff of 15 to 25 employees

- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, manage, and monitor the performance of all shop staff

- Adhere to all safety protocols, policies and procedures, and ensure staff do the same

- Establish job priorities and prepare work schedules for all shop employees

- Conduct daily meetings with shop employees; review safety, assign duties/crew planning, prioritize, etc.

- Forecast goals and objectives for the shop and strive to meet them

- Assists employees in on-site health or safety emergencies

- Approves timecards

- Shop Management:

- Inventory Management

- Schedule maintenance and preventative maintenance on all equipment

- Troubleshoot, evaluate and make recommendations regarding the replacement or repair of existing equipment

- Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality

- Assists in repairs, construction, maintenance or other tasks involved with production & production equipment

- Operate shop machinery such as forklifts or manufacturing equipment

- Weld, layout and assemble several types of steel depending on work awarded

- Who are we looking for?

- Related Experience: 5+ Years

- Forklift and Combilift Experience: 4+ Years

- Management Experience: 4+ Years

- Strong Leadership Skills

- Efficient Time Management

- Multi-Tasking Effectively

- Solid Communication Skills

Compensation:

- Benefits:

- $25-28 per hour, DOE

Schedule:

- Monday through Thursday, 5:30am to 4:30pm (typical daily schedule)
