Join us.The Vice President of Category Management will serve as a key leader on the ASG North American leadership team as well as provide leadership to the Category Management team. The person in this role will lead the global product strategy for ASG intended to drive organic and inorganic growth for the business resulting in visible positive impact to the brand’s competitive position in the market. The VP of Category Management will develop the product planning process as well as determine the annual strategy and roadmap for new innovative products.RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development of a clear global product strategy for ASG that guides resources focus & prioritization to maximize financial impact

Develop, implement and oversee the global new product planning process and identify opportunities for ongoing improvement

Build a roadmap of new innovative products based on a strong understanding of customer insights and marketplace dynamics

Devise and deliver key inorganic growth strategies (M&A) in support of ASG long range plan objectives

Lead Brunswick’s digital product platform (Nautic-On) aimed at removing consumer friction and improving the boater experience

Analyze competitive research and trends to guide category strategies and programs relative to product and program innovation

Lead change initiatives driven by market demand, government regulations and/or cost reduction activity

Collaborate closely with ASG Engineering team in development of NPD roadmap and ensure alignment with global product strategy

Ensure new product launches occur on-time, on-budget, and with maximum marketplace impact

Build a strong product marketing discipline within ASG by attracting and developing top-tier product marketing talent in partnership with Global Talent & Development team

QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of product development experience in durable or consumer goods

Strong demonstrated track-record of guiding NPD from customer insight to product launch

Clear indication of strategic decision-making that drives results

Demonstrated thought leader on enterprise-level business, product, and M&A strategies

Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence and drive alignment among stakeholders across all levels and functions

BS/BA required in Business or related field

MBA strongly preferred
