Camarillo Flight Instruction

Position: Sr. Flight Desk Associate

(Office Admin / Customer Service)

Hourly: $16-$18 DOE + 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 yr. Company provided iphone (personal use allowed)

Full Time: 40 hours per week (M-F 8 am - 5 pm)

CFI Inc. (Camarillo Flight Instruction), a growing general aviation company focused on flight instruction and aircraft rental services is seeking a Full Time Sr. Flight Desk Associate to join its growing team made up of personable problem solvers willing to do what's needed to get the job done right. With a focus on safety, compliance with regulatory laws, and serving / growing our dynamic customer base, the Sr. Flight Desk Associate serves an important role in making sure operations run smoothly and customers have an exceptional experience.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Fielding calls, emails, and walk-ins and successfully assisting customers and other team members as needed (lots of interaction with the public)

Maintaining online schedule of aircraft and adjusting as needed based upon changes on the ground

Onboarding new students / customers

Answering general questions about the flight schools offerings, aircraft / instructor availability

Admin / Data Entry: Entering flight records and processing charges / billing Reviewing, collecting / scanning, properly storing documents

Office Maintenance: Light cleaning in office and restroom to maintain a welcoming environment at all times. Restocking consumables, coffee station, and restroom supplies.

Flight Line: Checking aircraft to ensure properly parked / tied down after flights. Checking cockpits for trash or other items left behind. Occasional light cleaning of windows / interior freshen up

Opening / closing procedures

Other duties as assigned by management

Special projects: assisting with marketing, events planning, etc.

Core Competencies:

Attention to detail. Ability to retain information, follow instructions and adhere to internal work flows / processes. Consistent follow-up / follow-thru. Strong communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Phone etiquette. Computer literacy: ability to type without looking, email, some excel, and basic word skills. Fluent in using online based software programs / services. Social Media fluency. Strong work ethic. Dependable time / attendance is a must. Must also be self motivated and able to stay on task with minimal supervision and self manage time.

Qualifications:

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States and of legal age to work

Highschool Diploma or equivalent

Some college preferred but not required

5+ years of work experience (office / professional environment)

Familiarity with general aviation flight training not required

Must be highly personable, outgoing, presentable, and willing to wear multiple hats / multi-task.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employee in this position must have/be able to:

Enter data into a computer terminal/typewriter and operate standard office equipment

Sit for extended periods of time

See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids

Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone, with or without hearing aids

Lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs at waist height for short distances

Bend at the waist

Climb into and out of small aircraft

Reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, grasp, push/pull
