Hiring Caregivers (Skokie and Mount Prospect)

Sahara Homecare is hiring Homecare Aides/Caregivers for immediate employment! Our Community Care Program is funded by the Illinois Department on Aging. We provide homecare services to seniors who qualify. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to assist our clients with everyday tasks and errands. We are also looking for Homecare Aides in the following suburbs: Glenview, Rolling Meadows, Palatine, Des Plaines, Skokie, Evanston, and Wilmette. Requirements

-Valid driver’s license with a safe and verifiable driving record

-High School diploma or equivalent required

-Previous experience as a Homecare Aide for any agency preferable

-Documentation of a physical examination no more than six months prior to employment

-Have a clear background check at the time of hiring

-Is not listed in the excluded provider from the federal Department of Health and Human services

-Successful completion of pre-service training

-Being present at mandatory trainings

Responsibilities:

-Assist the client in daily activities

-Responsible for meal planning and preparation

-Keep the home in the optimum state of cleanliness and safety

-Help the client with mobility needs

-Responds immediately to any medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers and render First Aid until ER personnel arrive

-Report service hours using Electronic Visit Verification

-Other duties as assigned
