Come support those who provide us with all the freedoms we enjoy.RISlocated inRichardson, Texas (Cityline)is looking for a candidate to join our world-class engineering team as aDatabase Engineer Lead.The Database Engineer Lead will be primarily responsible for leading the effort (analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of the work) to create a data storage architecture in both C2S and on premise, which allows for bi-directional replication. This will include a solution for the migration of data from the current Sybase databases into the new data storage architecture, as well as the new ETL (extract, transform, and load) layer.The solution will modernize how data is currently entered, cleansed, and conditioned to remove manual steps.The Database Engineer Lead will utilize the Government-provided conceptual data model, along with the results of the other DTMI Tasks, in order to derive the appropriate logical and physical data models required for the database design and implementation. Additionally, the Database Engineer Lead will be lead for all database performance optimization, scaling, and administration activities, and will ensure the activities undertaken in the other relevant tasks for this initiative support a well designed and implemented data environment.The selected candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance.This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus up to $40K for a candidate with a current TS/SCI that can be verified and hired at Raytheon Technologies.Required Skills: Relational database architecture experience with a knowledge of C2S data storage options, data ingest and retrieval design for performance. A minimum of 8 years of experience with SQL Service or PostgreSQL. A minimum of 8 years of experience with complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views. A minimum of three years of experience with Sybase Active TS/SC clearanceDesired Skills: Data migration experience Possess the following certifications: DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II Certification including Security+ Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification Experience in non-relational databases such as NoSQL WideTable. Experience with scaling complex and high volume relational databases. Experience with database administration and security. Experience using conceptual data models to inform accurate, effective, and efficient database design.
