Quality Control Sampling Technician

Quality Control Sampling TechnicianThe Quality Control Sampling Technician and Laboratory Assistant is responsible for sampling raw materials and packaging materials. Technician will facilitate the retention of samples by the QC department. Assist with sorting, filing, and purging of hard copy files and retain materials.Essential Duties:

Initially inspect, document and sample raw materials and packaging materials received.

Prepare and submit raw materials for microbial and/or third party analysis.

Prepare, file, and retrieve QC retention samples for raw materials, in-process and finished products.

Maintain QC records and retention samples including filing, retrieving and purging.

Prepare and place appropriate identification tags on each raw material or packaging material received.

Perform organoleptic, physical and limited chemical analysis on raw materials and packaging material as needed.

Assist other team members within the department to keep the laboratory running smoothly on a daily business including cleaning QC area and glassware.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

Experience in quality control strongly desired.

Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Basic math skills in addition to reasoning and qualitative abilities.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft office and Microsoft operating system.
