Lab Tech (Entry Level) (Santa Maria)

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the Santa Maria area looking for entry level work or a new career path! This position is Full Time and Temp to Hire, with the schedule to be determined upon hire (applicants must be okay with working 2nd shift hours, weekends, and overtime). The pay rate for this position is $14-16/hr (DOE). If you are qualified and interested, submit a resume ASAP!

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Process incoming samples

Accurately record detailed data

Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks of the lab

Perform facility and field sampling of product and water

Use lab equipment (scales, autoclaves, etc…)

Clean glassware, lab areas, and utensils

Media preparation

Perform pipetting and serial dilutions

Retrieve samples from various locations, as needed

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

Laboratory skills would be a plus

Ability to properly communicate through both oral and written correspondence

Ability to properly prioritize tasks and multitask

Strong math skills

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Good computer skills

Clean DMV record

Experience with Microsoft Office

Bilingual English/Spanish would be a plus
