Tool Room Machinist

HIVIZ, LLC seeks a detail-oriented precision machinist to fill a vacancy in our toolroom. The Machinist will be a team player who is responsible for programming and utilizing CNC machines to manufacture and repair tooling and fixtures in our facility. This is a full-time, benefited, hands-on position that focuses on daily operations in a positive, safe, and clean working environment.

Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 40 hours per week, with some overtime required. Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience. Please submit your cover letter, and resume today!

Essential Functions

1. Program and utilize CNC equipment.

2. Accurately interpret blueprints, charts, and tables.

3. Estimate and measure sizes and distances accurately.

4. Build, revise, upgrade, and repair tools and fixtures to extremely tight tolerances and timeframes.

5. Operate tool room equipment

6. Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, hand tools, and power tools.

7. Ability to troubleshoot defects and determine root cause.

8. Willingness to learn new techniques and improve processes with team members.

9. Utilize MasterCam, Solid Works or equivalent software.

Required Education and Experience

· 3-5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Vertical Milling Machines.

· 2 years of experience programming CNC machines with Mastercam and/or similar CAM software.

· 2 years of manual mill/lathe experience.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

· Demonstrated experience as a team player that enjoys working with other craftsmen and can communicate effectively and work well with other departments.

· A successful candidate would be able to evaluate a project and come up with a manufacturing plan to accomplish it.

Preferred qualifications:

· 5 years of applicable experience in an injection molding job shop

· EDM, Surface Grinding, and Micro welding experience

· 3D surface milling experience

Must pass a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.
