Prison Visitor Hospitality (Marcy area)

The Osborne Assn (www.osborneny.org) coordinates prison visitor hospitality centers around NYS. We currently have an opening for a back-up staff to work at Marcy, Mohawk and Mid-state Correctional Facilities as needed. This may become a regular shift. At all the prisons, shifts are Saturdays, Sundays and 4 annual holidays from 7am-noon, with an added shift of noon to 3 pm at one facility. Applicants must have customer service and/or family/children experience; the ability to learn and follow NYS Department of Corrections and Community Service rules and regs while maintaining a hospitable program; some computer fluency and access; reasonable commute; the ability to pass both Osborne and DOCCS screenings. This is good work for a retiree, college student, anyone concerned about this special population. Pay is $15 per hour with time and 1/2 on holidays.

All covid 19 precautions taken per CDC guidelines. Interviews will take place via Zoom/Facetime.
