Lead Carpenter Fairbanks (Fairbanks)

We are a growing construction company with plenty of work. We are looking to add to our crew to finish out our new construction projects as we transition into interior renovation remodel projects during the winter season. We are looking for someone experienced in framing up new houses and decks. Winter months the work primarily consists of renovation, remodeling, flooring, painting, and drywall. Skilled in windows, doors, cabinets, finished trim is a big plus. Tile experience and stairs also a big plus. We are looking to add a lead carpenter to our established team that wants a permanent position and works well with others.

Lead carpenter job description:

1. Excellent craftmanship and quality work from start to finish.

2. Well rounded working knowledge and experience of residential construction from framing to finish.

3. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to listen, ask questions, communicate effectively and respectfully with others.

4. Oversee and work with field crew on job site. With the willingness to learn and teach.

5. Excellent organizational skills, able to effectively plan, problem solve, and execute work from start to finish.

6. Read, understand, and apply a set of building plans. Create material takeoff list and order materials.

7. Understand, maintain the project budget and schedule from start to finish.

8. Properly use and safely operate power tools, hand tools, ladders, scaffolding and related equipment.

9. Maintain a organized safe and clean job site.

10. Safe driving record with Alaska drivers license and insurance.

Work locations can vary with each project around Fairbanks and the interior. We are willing to assist with relocation expenses to Fairbanks, and short term lodging during the probationary period.
