POSITION SUMMARY Route Loader works with the Route Driver and assists in the collection of solid waste and/or recycling.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Use all safety related PPE while doing any work.

Comply with Al Clawson Disposal, Inc. Policies, OSHA Requirements, and local/state/federal laws.

Promptly report all unsafe situations or service concern to Operations Manager.

Attend and participates in all scheduled training.

Assists driver with all backing maneuvers from the ground while on route.

Complete all duties assigned and assist other team members as directed.

Notify Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, property damage, service interruptions, noncompliant containers, or potential safety hazards.

Operate packing mechanism with various levers and handles to activate loading.

Manually or mechanically load and empty residential/commercial containers into truck.

Containers maybe staged curbside, carryout, or require pullout to complete service.

Clean area of accidental waste spill.

Reports To: Operations Manager

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday 5AM- 5PM Some after hour work required. (45-55 Hours)

Compensation: Hourly

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience: Six (6) months of relevant work experience. (Preferred)

Skills or Abilities: Must be at least 18 years old, Pre-employment drug screen, and Legally eligible to work in the United States.

WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a fast-paced physical position that requires outdoor work in all weather conditions.
