The HR Manager will be required to provide broad Human Resource knowledge and experience to many HR functions in our Retail Division including retail store operations, retail employee relations, full cycle recruitment, performance management, and payroll management. This position will also manage team members who oversee recruitment, employee engagement, payroll and office reception. Other duties also include but are not limited to:
Maintains and interprets compliance with federal, state, and local employment and payroll laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance and guidance.
Maintains, and reviews ADP payroll system to ensure timely and accurate processing of multi state Retail and Outlet payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Partners with retail leadership team to understand and execute the human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Collaborates with Director of HR, Corporate HR Manager, HR Coordinator, retail management, and other staff on a daily basis when needed on various projects.
Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Responsible for Retail and Outlet Payroll which includes setup of new state location
Manages leaves of absence, including coordinated pay and benefits.
Manage, administer and execute delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Manage all day to day retail employee relations.
Responsible for performance improvement plans, coaching, counseling, feedback and one on one conversations with retail department leadership and retail employees.
Administer performance reviews to all retail team members and assist with corporate process.
Audit of HRIS System to ensure data accuracy for all retail team members.
Partner with Retail Management to ensure timely execution of retail new store openings and onboarding on new employees.
Responsible for training and development of Retail Store Managers on all HR policies and practices.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
4-7 years of experience as a high performing contributor to People Team functions including; Generalist support, Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and Culture
1-2 years of overseeing HR Team members
Managing an HRIS system is a plus
Project management is a plus
Experience in ADP Workforce Now
Strong skill set in MS Office Suite
Experience supporting a Retail organization; multiple states is a plus
Must be a self-starter, individual who leads by example and works with a sense of urgency
Demonstrates integrity and credibility in all aspects of responsibility
Demonstrates knowledge of employment laws such as EEOC guidelines, FLSA and ADA required
