We are hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead and develop new digital health experiences for our members and providers. You will work with a cross-functional team of physicians, designers, engineers, and data scientists to enable better access to healthcare with improved outcomes. Design and implement software systems from ideation to launch
Work with product strategy, business partners, and subject matter experts to shape applications and features
Implement resilient software using best-in-class software engineering design principles
Develop all levels of the technical stack even if you’re more experienced in some layers
Cultivate a thoughtful and collaborative culture of autonomy and execution
Support your colleagues in evaluating and designing digital health solutions
Build empathetic products and services for all types of users of varying backgrounds
Contribute to new ways of working including development processes and communication e.g. Shape Up, Agile, Loom, Slack, Basecamp
Qualifications Qualifications
5+
years of experience developing, deploying, and iterating on software based
products and services
Experience
with fault-tolerant and horizontally scalable systems
A
strong understanding of data modeling and one or more relational databases,
key-value and/or document stores e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, DynamoDB,
Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB
Experience
deploying web applications and services with a major cloud provider e.g. AWS,
GCP, Azure
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tooling and workflows e.g. Jenkins, Argo, ELK, Stack, Prometheus, GitHub Actions, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform
1+
years leading a technical team and mentoring others
Demonstrated
history of defining and collaborating on product with product managers,
designers, data professionals and other stakeholders
Ability
to articulate and shepherd requirements through required processes
Bonus Points
Experience
in healthcare or other regulated industries such as finance
Experience
with the Serverless Application Model in Go, Python, or Node
Exposure
and interest in product analytics and statistical hypothesis testing such as
A/B testing
Expertise
in API vendor management and integrations e.g. Twilio, Stripe, Okta
Previous
experience or knowledge of healthcare data assets, e.g. EMR/EHR, Claims, Biometrics, Wearables, Imaging, and health data standards, e.g. FHIR, DICOM, CPT, ICD-10, SNOWMED-CT, LOINC, NDC.
