Senior Auditor

DescriptionSenior AuditorRobert Half Management Resources is looking for a Senior Auditor to investigate a balance sheet account for completeness and accuracy. This project will go into early November. As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible to investigate the general ledger and reconcile to the system data files. You will need to interview the key players of each process and identify what could go wrong and how to circumvent them. You will also be responsible to provide to the client the overall journal entry to get them current. This Senior Auditor position offers you a strong compensation and benefits package. We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast–paced environment to support the firm's continued success. This role is located in the East Lansing area. Email your resume to remie.pleva@rhmr.com.RESPONSIBILITIES: Think critically while interviewing key players to assess overall processes Ability to reconcile GL to outside data systems Follow audit trail of overall transactions Review processes for proper preventative and detective internal controls Perform internal control testing Perform audit sampling testing of overall processes Ensure that balance sheet accounts are reflecting accurate transactions Provide an overall recommendation to management for a correcting journal entry to reflect current positionRequirements CPA or Public Auditing Experience Proficient in Excel Critical thinking Understanding of work-flow processing through balance sheet and income statement accounts Work Independently, Self-Starter and Driver type of personality Ability to interview key players of processes and identify problems in processingAt Robert Half Management Resources, your experience matters - and we put it to good use!
