Network Administrator

DescriptionRobert Half Technology has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Administrator at a prominent company. To be successful in this role, you should have a can-do attitude and be an organized problem solver who is passionate about ensuring and maintaining a stable network infrastructure. You will ensure security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components to develop, administer and maintain the network infrastructure to support the business. You should be comfortable working with constantly changing software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems. It will be crucial for you to stay current and fully informed through ongoing education. This Network Administrator position is a long-term temporary-to-full-time role and is located in the Sumter, South Carolina, region.How you will make an impact

Arranging and performing network software and hardware upgrades

Administering control measures for LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam

Administering the operation of services related to all local area and wide area networks, following company policies and procedures

Troubleshooting and resolving issues regarding local area networks / wide area network, including performance and connectivity problems

Requirements

Previous experience with production and on-call environments

ESXi experience

Patching experience preferred

Well-founded grasp of VMware

Solid understanding of Cisco IOS

Active Directory experience

Foundational knowledge in VPNs (virtual private networks)

Proven knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server

5+ years of relevant experience

Proficiency with network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations

Exceptional skills in troubleshooting, analytics and diagnostics
