Job Summary

The VP, Information Systems, will define and drive the strategic direction of business unit technology and is responsible for balancing a broad technology agenda that includes implementing new technologies to increase revenue, improve business processes and increase return on investment while managing the daily IT operations of the company.

You will communicate the vision and establish aligned direction and goals for the business unit, provide ongoing direction for developing, deploying, maintaining, operating, educating and evolving the business unit’s IT direction.

Essentials Functions

Manage the technology and architectural roadmap for client portals, API gateway, operational platforms and Mortgage Solutions products

Management of IT team supporting centralized title, valuation, post closing and default servicing products and services, including dotted line management of captive offshore IT teams

Manage migration strategy for cloud based solutions, modern workflow technologies, rest APIs and BOTs / OCR / emerging data extraction technologies for use in products and operational fulfillment

Provide technology leadership for process optimization opportunities (e.g., artificial intelligence feasibility, robotics RPA etc.

Drive cost takeout activities using data, analytics and technology to automate manual processes

Own overall IT implementation of innovation strategy for Mortgage Solutions division

Lead strategic planning efforts for the Business Unit’s Information Technology department, ensuring that IT programs and initiatives align to enterprise objectives and strategies.

Communicate the company’s technology strategy to management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders

Serve as organization’s technology thought-leader. Act as advisor to internal customers at all levels by evaluating and identifying appropriate technology platforms to deliver on the organization’s objectives.

Stay apprised of trends and issues within the IT industry, including emerging technologies and applications in the digital sector (mobile, social media, etc.)

Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers

Direct development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Knowledge and Skills / Technology Used

Demonstrated competency in creating and executing on strategic plans.

Proven track record of leading large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and driving organizational change.

Demonstrated success with meeting the needs of a wide range of employees while driving team performance, monitoring results and appropriately allocating resources.

Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of technology principles, practices, and procedures to the successful execution of multiple complex projects.

Strong experience and knowledge of functional tools and infrastructure

A deep understanding of metrics / dashboards that drive an environment and culture of continuous improvement.

Possesses strong problem solving, collaborative, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills.

Results oriented with strong time management and project management skills and must be highly organized and driven to succeed.

Strong leadership skills, leading by example, driving employee commitment through actions, and empowering employees to reach their full potential.

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

Advanced degree preferred

Typical Range of Experience

10 15 years of experience managing one or more major IT function.

A proven track record of implementing forward thinking technology based solutions and experience with cloud-computing, workflow platforms, web portals, system integrations and mobile-computing and digital media required.

IT experience in a retail, real estate or financial services institution preferred.

Experience managing projects using Salesforce tools for workflow management desired.
