As the Senior development engineer for NW, you will be responsible for conducting all relevant aspects of new or existing

product development opportunities within the fiber-based product families sold to the automotive and bedding market.

These activities will include overseeing the Development, testing, materials research, new vendor relations, customer

interactions and any significant process development thereof. This is an opportunity to learn the business and grow into a

Director of Development role. The position may require 30-40% travel both domestic and international.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop new products as defined by management (utilizing Technology Road Maps and other resources)

Perform preliminary cost matrix for any new product concepts or current product modifications within product unit

Optimize current product lines through material research and process optimization (supporting Kaizen Events and

Lean Manufacturing initiatives)

Work with Applications Engineers and Sales to develop any new OEM specification(s) needed to qualify new

products and penetrate given market(s)

Qualifications :

Four year engineering / technical degree preferably accompanied by advanced degree

Broad based relevant technical expertise and experience (e.g. textiles, FR, fiber science, polymer science, etc.);

manufacturing experience is a plus

5+ years’ experience in Automotive / Nonwovens / Molding Tier 1 or a relevant adjacency.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; will communicate with internal staff as well as external sales,

vendors and customers

Excellent analytical skills, working knowledge of statistics, proficiency with MS Office
