Job Title : Telecom Billing Specialist

Department : Billing

Job Description : Responsible for performing various telecom billing functions and customer account management services by performing varying duties with regards to customer requests and orders.

Goal : To ensure accurate invoicing to customers, help customers understand their invoices and handle account management for customer cancellations.

Duties and Responsibilities : Including but are not limited to the following :

Perform all data entry and computer functions related to billing procedures.

Monitor billings for accuracy and communicate with internal personnel to resolve discrepancies or verify unusual items.

Handle correspondence with customers and partners when port outs are received and coordinate cancellation process.

Responsible for reviewing customer contracts and services for account cancellation

Scrub and process billing for all customer orders.

Calculate early termination fees based on cancellation dates and contract language.

Invoice reviews each month to ensure address is correct, proper transcodes are noted, prorates are calculated correctly, discounts, usage, proper taxation etc.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate :

High School Diploma or Equivalent;

College degree in Accounting or related field preferred

Prior Telecom work experience preferred;

Strong communication skills both written and oral;

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;

The ability to quickly learn software systems;

The ability to think outside the box ;

Work in a team atmosphere with collaborative skills;

Adapt to a fast pace work environment;

Customer support and relationship skills;

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word);

Knowledge of basic formulas and formatting;

Handle customer negotiations.
