Entity/Organization: MUHA (Medical University Hospital Authority/Medical Center)Hours per week: 40Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: DayFair Labor Standards Act Status: HourlyJob Summary/Purpose : Provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services to the inpatients and outpatients of the Medical University Hospitals and clinics including decentralized pharmaceutical support services at the patient care unit level; addresses the needs of nursing personnel regarding drug disposition and usage; counsels patients and health care professionals by providing general and patient specific drug information; ensures timely and medically appropriate dispensing of medication to patients for assigned units.Minimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job functions while standing.
