Primary duties

may include, but are not limitedto :

Responds to telephone, written, and in-personinquiries and initiates steps to assist regarding issues relating to content orinterpretation of benefits, policies and procedures.

Provides timely and accurate resolution ofinquiries and issues regarding benefits, services and policies.

Supports and promotes State Sponsored Programsthrough participation in community events.

Represents State Sponsored Programs in communitycollaborations.

Supports member access to care through homevisits, processing of reports, and distribution of collateral materials.

Performs new member orientations.

Provides superior quality outcomes by takingownership of issues to ensure timely resolution or follow-up.

Provides superior, professional, and courteousservice to customers.

Qualifications

Required to work any 8 hour shift from 6am 5pmM-F.

Requires HS Diploma; 1 year of customer serviceexperience, understanding of the basic principles of managed care and theconcepts of publicly financed health insurance such as Medicaid and SCHIPprograms;

or any combination of education and experience that would provide anequivalent background.

Comprehends the various cultural and linguisticneeds of the Medicaid and SCHIP population.

Knowledge of the various health and socialservices available in the assigned region with a special emphasis on servicesoffered by community based organizations.

Abilityto work professionally with the company's associates, community-basedorganizations, providers and plan members.
