Position Overview

This position is responsible for identifying opportunities and driving improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) risk at the location level.

This role is corporate based, working to implement programs, processes and procedures within its respective business unit.

Key Responsibilities

Support locations in execution of EHS Management Systems, Significant Injury and Fatality (SIF) initiatives, and Life Critical Policies through education and training, auditing, coaching and leading.

Provide strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Assist with the development of business unit EHS policies and procedures.

Provide incident investigation support and lead those classified as Red Risk.

Ensure operations activities incorporate all necessary auditing, monitoring, reporting and inspections to comply with standards.

Works independently; receives minimal guidance

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Represents the level at which career may stabilize for many years

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred

5-10 years’ relevant experience required

Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and / or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification preferred

70% travel requirement

Ability to work remote, live within 100 miles of Maumee, OH
