Our DSPs are the STARS of our organization who provide caregiving to the people we support.Acirc; This may be in a group home, home-like setting.Acirc;Essential Responsibilities/Job DutiesdivPerforming personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks. Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates/divulliEnsuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment/liliAssisting with toileting, including bedpans, urinals, and commode chairs/liliReminding/assisting client with self-administration of medications (with proper training)/liliEncouraging self-help activities/liliReporting changes in client's condition or family situation to the office/liliDocumenting services provided/liliPerforming home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning/liliPlanning meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up/liliAccompanying client to scheduled appointments/liliTransporting clients or running errands for clients/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ul/div/div/divspan class="bold" Qualifications /spandivdivdivulliHigh school degree/GED requiredAcirc;(in most cases)/lili18 years of age or older/liliValid driver's license (in most cases)/liliAbility to work in a group home, home-like settings/liliAbility to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company/liliAbility to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time/liliMust maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by staterogram requirementsAcirc;/liliMedication Administration as required by staterogram requirements/li/ul/div
