JOB SUMMARY
The Fleet Supervisor’s overarching responsibility is to ensure Frontier vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe and dependable state.
Components of achieving this include effective management of the day to day operations of the local fleet maintenance facilities and any direct report employees at those facilities, as well as managing work performed by commercial vendors.
Responsibilities also include promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The Supervisor is expected to exercise excellent business acumen.
Responsible to build and maintain positive, open relationships with direct reports and management, vendors, and members of the organizations Fleet supports.
Fleet Supervisor is accountable to the Fleet Regional Manager. Travel required, limited to 20%.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess excellent reasoning and decision-making skills
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer literacy must include, but is not limited to : email and word processing; understand and manipulate data / spreadsheets;
various additional web interface programs including, but not limited to Infinium, PATS, CATS, and vendor billing interfaces
Database query (preferred)
Ability to be available and / or work nights and weekends as required by the needs of the business
Ability to acquire and maintain applicable licenses and / or certifications required by the Company or applicable governing agencies
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
5-years minimum experience in Fleet Maintenance (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Administration, or equivalent experience
Experience in managing work groups that are covered by a collective bargaining agreement (preferred)
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair is performed
Responsible to ensure the most cost-effective solutions are utilized, which includes, but not limited to : Review 3rd party repairs to ensure value aligns with expense, correct as necessaryReview parts purchases to ensure value aligns with expense, correct and coach as necessaryReview mechanic work to ensure job hours align with accepted industry guides
May alternately be responsible for managing the Fleet Support Staff and associated functions
Execute the Frontier Safety Action Plans and support a safety conscious culture
Responsible for in-scope employee, facility, and vehicle regulatory and environmental compliance
Effectively communicate, coach, and achieve Company and Fleet goals and results
Responsible personally, and for in-scope team, suppliers and vendors, to adhere to Frontier Corporate
Compliance requirements including, but not limited to : Frontier Code of EthicsSarbanes / Oxley financial oversight requirementsTraining and safety requirements
Manage direct report workforce schedules and attendance, deploy resources to achieve maximum value
Responsible for meeting applicable in-scope employee performance goals
