Driver Recruiter to support West Division

Position Summary:As the Driver Recruiter, you will work with hiring managers (e.g. Branch Managers and Plant Managers) to successfully fill open positions for the West Division of Airgas. The primary focus will be on Commercial Drivers. You will be identifying effective recruiting sources and networks, screening candidates, conducting phone screens and in-person interviews, cultivating candidates for future job opportunities, and facilitating the full recruiting life cycle. This position will work closely with the hiring managers and human resources to provide both transactional and strategic talent acquisition support and fill critical roles expeditiously.Effective Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.

Execute recruiting/driver strategies to fill key job openings for CDL Drivers and Route Drivers (Class A and B).

Understand the region business and complete thorough requisition qualifying process with each hiring manager to ensure a total understanding of the requirements and position responsibilities for each open role.

Sources candidates by placing job advertisements, using media and/or newsgroups, and job boards (internal and external).

Determines applicant qualifications by phone screening applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.

Coordinates interview schedules by working with hiring manager and human resources to set up meeting invites with appropriate documents and interview materials.

Consults with Division Compensation Supervisor on compensation issues regarding employment offers, commission and bonus programs necessary to continue to attract candidates.

Uses ATS to process offer letters and background screening and new hire documents. Works closely with hiring managers to present verbal offers to internal and external candidates.

Responsible for recruiting by attending various events and recruiting activities at career fairs as a company representative.

Maintains and promotes EEOC compliance during recruitment and hiring process.

Produces and maintains reporting metrics of driver recruiting activity for the Region.

Strong knowledge and utilization of all recruitment tools included but not limited Applicant Tracking system, 3rd party resume databases, proprietary candidate portals, social media channels, and other external recruitment tools currently being utilized

Assist in creating, developing, and maintaining best practices to support field recruitment efforts.

Build and maintain relationships with internal business leaders, hiring managers, and leaders across regions to ensure hiring needs are being properly addressed

All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described.

Ability to travel 25%

Work from home / remote option will be considered. West Coast is preferred.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred and a minimum of five years of related recruiting experience.

Two years of experience recruiting in the transportation industry experience preferred.

Advanced knowledge of ATS programs (Taleo preferred)

Strong Microsoft office skills (Windows, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Ability to deal with all levels of associates within the organization.

Must like to do a wide variety of tasks and have the ability to be multi-tasked.Airgas offers a full benefits package includes:
