The Mobile Child Clinician will perform a range of clinical services related to the assessment, care, and treatment of the mentally ill and / or the mentally developmentally disabled and / or substance abusing individuals in the school, home, or in the outpatient clinic setting.
The Mobile Child Clinician is a positive team player that promotes a culture of inclusion and participation.
Required Education and Experience
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or closely related field
Certified or licensed by the KY Licensure Board
Valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation and proof of auto insurance
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working with children and families who experience complex emotional and behavioral difficulties
Qualified Mental Health Professional
Essential Functions

Clinical Services
Provide direct clinical services for intake, screening, and referral services
Participate in the client’s ongoing assessments, diagnosis and collateral treatment : mental health issues, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse co-occurring disorders
Assess crisis situations through risk assessment, management, crisis prevention, intervention and engage as appropriate to help de-escalate crisis situations and promote stability
Provide ongoing psycho-education relating to mental health issues and approach to treatment
Provide evidence based therapies through the modalities of individual therapy, family therapy and group therapy
Collaboration and Communication
Coordinate referral and transition for engaged clients once stabilization is established
Collaborate cooperatively with team members and community partners when providing services
Communicate effectively with team members and collateral sources
Participate in regular meetings with Clinical Coordinator and county team
