Recreational opportunities abound here – we offer water sports, skiing, hiking, shopping, fine dining, theater and an overall excellent quality of life.ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:As an Emergency Room Technician, you will delivery patient care and perform clinical procedures within the scope of your licensure under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Provider.Your day-to-day job functions will include:Assisting in implementing each patient's plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and other tasks within your scope of practiceAssisting with observation of patients, gathering data and identifying patient care needsResponding to emergency situationsAssisting with patient transport and transferAssisting with cleaning, stocking and maintenance of department equipment and suppliesAdhering to safety and risk management standardsAssisting with clerical and communication tasks to support patient careQualificationsJob Requirements: Must meet both the education and active licenseHigh school diploma (or GED equivalent) and completion of one of the following:Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program ORMedical Assistant program ORCertified Nursing Assistant program ORLicensed Practical Nurse program ORCompletion of one year of nursing school.ANDCurrent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA.), OR Current Registered Nursing Assistant (RNA.) either recorded by the state as received and in processing, or completed; ORCurrent Medical Assistant-Cert (CMA); ORCurrent Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R); OR Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) ORThe forms required to initiate the Washington State Medical Assistant-P and/or Medical Assistant-R application process must be submitted to the Department of Health within 90 days of employment in the position, as evidenced by a proof of payment receipt.
