You will support the physicians and nursing staff in the delivery ofhealth care by performing a variety of medically related tasks.As a member of the patient care team and the primary point ofpatient contact, the Patient Service Representative is responsible for positivepatient relations, proper telephone communication, appointment scheduling,patient registration, as well as payment and co-payment collection. Thisposition also performs routine duties associated with the collection andmaintenance of current patient demographics and insurance information.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Greets patients and assist with resolving patientissues or escalating patients issues

Check-in and out patients and collect co-payments/givereceipts/reconcile payments; verifies that patient demographic andinsurance information is correct in CS-Link

Schedule appointments, complete patient registration,collect patient payments and to provide a high level of patient service

Assists with the management of physician schedules andidentify opportunities for improvement; handle patient/providercorrespondence as instructed

Process and track referrals and authorizations forvarious insurance types

Monitors and assess their own workflow to identifyopportunities for improvement and assess their own workflow to identifyopportunities for improvement

Participates in daily huddles and staff meetings

Educational Requirements:

HighSchool Diploma and/or GED required

Experience

2years of experience working as a Patient Service Representative in anoutpatient medical office setting preferred

Demonstrateslevel of expertise in medical insurance, referral process and benefitsplans

Preferexperience with CS-Link/Epic Healthcare
