POSITION: Intellectual property administrative assistant for a very busy law firm in Tulsa, OK specializing in patents, trademarks and copyrights!

HOURS: M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

DRESS CODE: Business Casual

SALARY: $12/HR and up depending upon skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

Safety-sensitive position

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Preferred but not required: American Bar Association-approved certificate or degree for a legal assistant; Any associate’s degree of bachelor's degree plus a paralegal certificate; a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or NALA-approved equivalent. Prior legal experience is a plus, and prior experience with patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets is highly desirable

♦Notary public certificate preferred or willing to acquire certificate at Firm expense

♦Must display above average reasoning abilities and decision making skills

♦Typing skills of at least 45 WPM minimum, 10 key

♦Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel

♦Must be well organized and have the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities for maximum efficiency and

effectiveness

♦Above average math and communication skills

♦Ability to work effectively with others and independently

♦Communicate with courtesy and professionalism

♦Willing to grow to be primarily responsible for legal support in IP matters

♦Support IP attorneys in a variety of work relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and litigation and transactions involving the same

♦Able to learn new tasks, including filing patent and trademark applications and related documents

♦Meet legal deadlines timely and accurately

♦Team-oriented person with high integrity who can represent the legal team with professionalism, interacting with clients and attorneys

♦Possess excellent organizational skills

♦Exercise strong attention to detail

♦Conscientious

♦Have valid driver’s license, insurance and vehicle to run work-related office errands, including (without limitation), delivering documents, mailing documents, purchasing office supplies and food and beverages for the office, picking up lunches for client meetings, attorney meetings and depositions

♦Willing and able to learn law office software applications and procedures, including time-keeping software
