Job Purpose

Perform material handling and picking for work orders and pick sheets. Assist with the control and management of inventory to ensure that inventory accuracy, flexibility, and integrity.

Ensure manufacturing has materials required to complete orders. Replenish point of use supplies and enable production workers to add value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Locate products in appropriate shelves, overstock, or storage; pull and transport them to the appropriate line on a timely, accurate basis.

Participate in daily and annual cycle counts and report findings to Team Lead.

Assist receiving specialist with the Offload of incoming trucks and ensure parts are placed in the correct bin locations once received as instructed by the receiving specialist

Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the Company's warehouse.

Perform warehouse maintenance activities; keeping warehouse clean and organized, identifying obsolete materials, relabeling, repackaging, etc.

Use ERP system to investigate inventory movements and look up parts as needed.

Take initiative to identify and research incorrect parts and inventory problems.

Restock parts as needed.

Complete and submit all paperwork (cycle counts, pick sheets, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.

Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other tools and equipment to move materials.

Support continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. Minimum one year related materials or inventory experience preferred.

3. Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing, ISO quality procedures, and mechanical and electrical assembly preferred.

4. Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire required.

5. Working knowledge of cycle counting, KanBan, FIFO, and general inventory management preferred.

6. Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and enterprise resource planning system (such as SAP) preferred.
